Whos responsible for these words.

 

 

Well… It’s me; Alyssa. Alyssa Sillett.

 

I’ve never been good with words really. Speaking them out loud anyways. I always felt that the sounds  that rolled off my tongue never really matched the words that were bouncing around in my mind.

So I decided to start typing them out; and Voila, A blog!

Much easier to express myself this way, and plus, its saved, not like what we store in the deep recesses of our cerebral cortex (for an interesting article on this; for those of you who love learning more, like me… Click on the highlighted word)…. This, my blog, is easier to access and does not fade over time.

I suppose I should get to it… This page is after all supposed to be all about ME!

My name is Alyssa Sillett… at one point this was not so. I was known as Alyssa Waldner for a number of years; back when I was married. Too young, and not very aware of how much I would grow over the years, mentally, physically, emotionally… all that fun coming of age stuff… I was wed at the age of 19, quite shortly thereafter I gave birth to my first child Landen. When this wee little bundle was still able to lay in the crease of my arm and nurse, I was quite shocked to find out I was indeed expecting another. Named Vienna, this little one was full of life, outspoken and a bit of a trouble maker. Very much, not like myself. Landen however was the quiet, emotional, cuddly one of the two.

They are two out of three of my most favorite things in this world. You will read more about them in my blog.

I am blessed to have an incredible boyfriend (who I often write about). He is the best parent to my children, and I am beyond lucky to have him in my life. You’ll also read a ton about him in my blog as well.

I love anything antique, as does the rest of the world nowadays. Seems as though everything I love becomes a fad at some point. I collect old cameras, and most of the things in our home are antique green or pastel turquoise as some like to describe it. I am passionate about photography, art, science, psychology, parenting and love.

I am far from perfect. Over the years I have made countless mistakes, some of which I will regret for the rest of my life, others I will overcome and grow stronger from. I have learned to take responsibility for my actions, words, thoughts and feelings. Not sure why I am writing this part… Maybe to make my words seem more human; its important that you, my readers relate.
